Robot begins with photo shoot

Robot movie commenced this week with a photo shoot scheduled in a hugely erected set in AVM studios by Cabu Syril. Sources said that make up tests are being taken with the Super Star trying various hairstyles. At this time only Rajini is participating in the shoot. Next schedule of the photo shoot is tentatively organized in May during which Aishwariya Rai is expected to participate.

In other news Thiru replaces Nirav Shah as the cameraman. Thiru is quite a busy bee these days.  Hindi movie Bhool Bhulaiya (Chandramukhi in Tamil) is one of his big recent hits.

IT WAS BAD ENOUGH FOR SHANKER TO DO SIVAJI WITH RAJNI!NOW ROBO?!!DESPITE ALL THE MEDIA FANFARE , NEWS ARE FINALLY LEAKING OUT THAT SIVAJI HAS REGISTERED LOSSES IN TAMIL NADU BUT MEDIA IS KEEPING QUITE OVER THIS.I READ SHANKER HAS CHANGED THE SCRIPT FOR RAJNI AND I KNOW WHAT IS THE CHANGE………….. A INTRO SONG ( AS USUAL TO HYPE THE OVER INFLATED EGO OF RAJNI) WHICH GOES LIKE THIS NAAN ROBOTKARAN,ROBOTKARAN….OUCH!!!ANYWAY AMITABH AND AISHU WERE BROUGHT IN SIMPLY TO MAKE THE MOVIE MARKATABLE IN HINDI. WATCH OM SHANTHI OM OF SHAH RUKH KHAN POKING FUN OF RAJNI.GOOD LUCK TO THE DISTRUBUTORS OF ROBO THE BOBO!

@sivaa,

Few points:

1) Sivaji didn’t have Rajni introduced with a song (neither was in Chandramukhi). Also the first song in Sivaji was not of any type of heroism. Was it ?
2) The losses were registered in some places becoz the film was bought at exhorbident rates by some greedy distributors. The ticket rate ceiling in TN theatres just around the time of the film release too added fuel. Just for records, even the collection of Baba was good (infact better than Padaiappa) and the losses were there only becoz of the premium prices they offerred.
3) It is not just Rajni, that Shah Rukh mocked in OSO, isnt it ?
4) What is wrong in looking for a marketing vialibility (be it in Hindi or in German )?

THANKS FOR YOUR VIEWS TOO BUT IT IS FACT THAT SIVAJI DID CARRY A INTRO SONG(BALELEKKA) REMEMBER?AND WHY THE HECK DOES SHANKER NEED TO CHANGE SCRIPT FOR RAJNI?IT IS RAJNI WHO SHOULD ACT ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPT.THIS JUST GOES TO SHOW OF RAJNI’S INFLATED EGO AND SHANKER’S FAILURE AS A DIRECTOR. MANIRATNAM IS BY FAR STILL THE BEST DIRECTOR WHO HAS THE ABILITY TO COMMAND HIS ACTOR TO SUIT HIS SCRIPT.PLEASE DO NOT HAVE HIGH HOPES ON ROBO IT WILL PROBABLY TURN OUT TO BE LIKE SIVAJI - HIGH WITH HYPE BUT LOW IN VALUE.SHANKER SHOULD STOP MAKING MOVIES AND GO TO MTV TO SHOOT VIDEO CLIPS AS HE IS KEEN IN SHOOTING SONGS WITH GRAND SETS.SIVAJI’S TALKING PORTION TOOK ONLY 75DAYS TO SHOOT THE REST WAS TO TAKE THE SONGS. SHANKER LOST THOUSANDS OF FANS AFTER SIVAJI THE RUBBISH.

RAJNI + MANIRATNAM= BLOCKBUSTER! STILL REMEMBER DALAPATHI? RAJNI + SHANKER= RUBBISH. I CAN BET YOU IN ANOTHER 20 YRS TIME PEOPLE WILL STILL REMEMBER DALAPATHI.SIVAJI WILL FOREVER REMAIN A JOKE. A LOT OF PEOPLE THINK IF RAJNI CHANGE ALL HIS FAN CLUB INTO SOCIAL SERVICE CENTERS IT WILL BENEFIT ENTIRE TAMIL NADU BUT EGO MANIAC RAJNI WILL NEVER DO THAT.

siva nee oru thenga…Chill man..Enjoy life..Dont fight over a MOVIE!!Sivaji was just a time pass movie..If you dont like its ok..at least appreciate the technical aspects of the movie..The movie was technically brilliant…And robot too is gona bring tamil cinema to greater heights…..Tamil cinema will be respected..Think abt that..Let ameer,radha mohan,maniratnam etc handle the story department bcos story is not shankar’s forte…For a high-tech movie, we need shankar…

Hi Sivaa,

Shankar has been churning blockbuster after blockbuster. If you go by the box office collections, he is a super successful director. IMO, Manirathnam is a great director, but he lacks guts. He relies on super stars and A.R.Rehman for his movies’ success. Although he is a critically acclaimed director, he has given us more flops than hits. For these reasons, you cannot compare Shankar and Maniratnam.

HI JOE! I AM NOT FIGHTING OVER A MOVIE , JUST WONDERING OUT A LOUD WHY A MOVIE LIKE SIVAJI IS HYPED WHEN CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED MOVIES LIKE AYUTHA EZHLETHU GOES BUST.ANY WAY JOE ….NEE ORU THENGA……HA,HA!
